I know it's a little early, but I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! My mom and stepdad are in town for a bit and I may not have time to do that before the first. I hope the new year is better for everyone than the last year was and I most definitely wish PEACE and HAPPINESS (in caps) for everyone. I hope that after the holidays everyone shows up in chat somewhere and I get a chance to see you all. Till then Happy New Year again and be careful.

I'm glad that Christmas is over. It's nice having family around and getting to spend time with them. Noone started a fight, it was amazing. Everyone got along well together. The little ones had a great time, running around outside, feeding the horses and just being able to be little kids. I think that from now one the holidays shoud be here, that way noone can yell or complain about anything, it's my house and I let them do whatever they want as long as it won't hurt themselves or someone else. They can't hurt the grass.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and that Santa was good to them. He was good here, we had a peaceful, happy day and that's all I could have asked for.
Work has finally slowed down, I think all the packages have finally been delivered and I'm grateful for that. I worked until 8:00 Monday nite trying to make sure that everyone on my route got all their Christmas presents before Christmas. I hope yours did the same. This has got to be a good time for the post office, there's no way they lost money over this holiday, I was busier than the last 3 Christmas's, that's definite.

To put it bluntly, you're a total slut! You'd go to the ends of the earth and back if you thought it would spice up your life a bit and deliver the attention that you constantly seek. However, I suggest if you ever go into a dark bathroom, be sure to bring a flashlight so you don't participate in anymore necrophiliac activities. There's a good thing about being catatonic though, nasty Dante is out of your mind for good. What were you thinking?

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL

Hey all, I just wanted to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and hope that the holidays find you well. No snow here, of course, but hopefully you all will have a beautiful white Christmas. See you soon!

Thursday, December 20, 2001

I have to say that this has been the hardest Christmas for me in a long time. I'm not homesick, which I usually am,(I miss the snow this time of year). I am a bit nostalgic, I miss the love that cancer took from me all those years ago, I miss my old friends that I haven't seen in years. I miss my oldest boys who won't be here this year. But there is good side too. If it weren't for a love lost, I wouldn't have known what it was like to be lucky enough to be completely loved by 2 men in my life. I wouldn't have know what it means to have true love in my life twice. I guess my problem is that good things don't last for long and all of a sudden I'm afraid someting's gonna happen. Call it intuition, call it paranioa, call it what you will. Something's around the corner and good or bad I have to face it head on.

On a much lighter side, WHERE is everyone?

I love Christmas. It's a friendly, family holiday, that usually brings out the best in people. Sometimes, through all of the crazyness of my job, I forget that. Yesterday, I was reminded of it again. Now, even though we aren't supposed to take tips from our customers, usually they give us no choice in the matter anyway, I was given a whole plate full of cookies, homemade cookies. I was going to take them back for the regular carrier because he does the route the other 5 days, while I do other things. The woman told me that, "even the relief carriers deserve presents too" and said that they were for me. It was nice to be remembered. We may not work the same route everyday, or even every week, but we do work 6 days a week and most of the time it's on 6 different routes or delivering packages, express, etc. Somedays I wonder if it's all worth it to wait for 5 or 6 years to become a regular carrier. Then I remember that they only have to do 1 route all year and that's when the job gets easy. I also remember the good customers that make it worthwhile. Now a plate of oatmeal raisin cookies(not my favorite, I don't like raisins) may not seem like much but it's knowing that someone out there realizes how hard we really do work and appreciates it.

With that little rant, I'm going to take my exhausted body and put it to bed. I hope to chat with you all soon. BTW, if I ever figure out how to put the cgi comments on my page, I will. Thanks, 27 and BD.

Just came back from shopping at the flea market, it wasn't as crazy as I thought it might be. Next weekend is going to be nuts anywhere you go shopping. I found a few things that I needed to buy for gifts and found a few things that I wanted for me. It has been so long since I went there, I forgot how beautiful the produce is. I bought grapes the size of black cherries and they're so sweet. The peppers and tomatoes are big and pretty too. This is one of the reasons why living down here is so good this time of year. Fresh fruit and veggies are the best, hands down.If I was really energetic I would go to the farmer's market on Wednesday's when all the produce comes in fresh, but I really don't have the time for that anyway.

It's still too hot down here, it doesn't feel like December yet, let alone Christmas time. I hear we might get a cold front through in the beginning of the week though. I really hope so, this is almost summer weather. Time to go clean and watch some football.

Thursday, December 13, 2001

Nothing much happening here. A week ago I loved playing Santa and delivering all the packages, now I'm just tired. It seems like people would be happy that their things are showing up before Christmas, (especially with the way things are at work), but they would rather complain. It may be that I'm tired, having put in 4 12 hour days in a row, it may be that I've lost the Christmas spirit somehow and can't get it back. It's strange, I was excited about it a week ago, I couldn't wait for it to feel more like Christmas. Now I just wish it was over and everything slowed down again. I guess I just like living a boring life, sitting home watching the cows behind the house, having a fire out in the pit, watching the beautiful sunsets we have every night, that sort of stuff. I haven't seen a sunset from home in over a week and barely finished decorating my tree last night. My house hasn't any signs of the holidays from outside and usually by this time is all lit up. Just my little rant for the day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I think that's all the new quizzes, if not I'll get them tomorrow. I miss chatting with everyone. Hopefully when work slows down again everyone won't be gone.

Actually, I prefer brunettes. And a little villian in everyone is good.

It's not dead. You just knocked it for a loop. ;-) I also remarked out your comments script until we find you a replacement for Reblogger. ~muda

It's dead, I killed it

Monday, December 10, 2001

I'm going to find a new comment thingy. I'm just not sure where.

Sunday, December 09, 2001

Well, so much for comments, it seems that I can't fix them at all. Maybe Reblogger is really gone.

We went and got our tree yesterday. It's pretty, so far I put the lights on it and a few ornaments. It usually takes me all day to decorate the tree. I want to make sure it looks as good as it can. Some of my ornaments I've had for over 20 years. It sure brings a lot of things back. Some I'm glad are over and others I truly miss.Like the Pluto ornament, it was the only thing on my tree the first year that my youngest son and I moved to Florida. We had only been here about 1 month and were lucky to even have a tree.I used to work at this bar in Brooksville, called the Hilltop Lounge. They were the greatest people to work for, they got us a tree and bought things for my son for Christmas so that he would have things from Santa. My roommate at the time took $20.00 and bought all kinds of toys for a 3 year old. He was really good at finding bargains. It was one of the greatest Christmas's, I've ever had. It showed me that good people were there, sometimes you just have to know where to look.

still can't fix reblogger, maybe it's not me.

Thursday, December 06, 2001

I'm not sure why Reblogger isn't working but I'm trying to fix it, until then sorry.

I like cats, I have 3 of my own. One is orange like Garfield, his name is Buddy. The second is all grey, her name is Shadow. And last but not least is my black one, her name is Zoe. She's the youngest and definitely the craziest. And yes, I am a responsible owner, the females have been spade.

Which Evil Criminal are You?

Ok, so he killed a few people, that doesn't mean that I'll go Postal. *edited, going standby is the preferred saying these days.*

Christmas is definitely getting closer. I took 2 loads of packages out today and it didn't even look like anything left the building. Tomorrow is going to be worse, I still have another full truck from today and 3 loads tomorrow. Now this might not sound bad, but they're not all going to a central location. I'm delivering them to people's houses. Just like Santa Claus, only I refuse to go down the chimney. I don't think very many houses in Florida have chimney's anyway. Santa just comes through the lanai.

I did the serial killer thing on 27's site and for some reason blogthis! didn't. Oh well, I guess I'll go back and try again later. It was Charles Manson the first time, let's see who it'll be the second. Today was a really good day. All of my boyfriend's kids came over and brought his grandchildren. (yes, he has grandchildren). We decided a few years ago to pick names for Christmas, that way everyone can get a nicer present. Well, we always include a few extra people and this year it was one of my best friends and my boyfriend's brother. I got him. At least it's an easy person to buy for, he likes Nascar and he is a carpenter. I can always buy him a good Eastwing hammer and he'll be happy. As for my best friend, she knows that I'm buying her something anyway. More later.

Really big THANKS, haha, go to Muda for fixing all of my problems here. I don't know where I would be without him. I screwed around with things that I'm still learning about and messed it all up. I wish I was past the learning stage but everyone has to start somewhere. I was going well until I decided to add a few things, I didn't know where they went but put them in anyway. Hey, it even worked for awhile. OK, off to other things, thanks again.

Hoepfully, thanks to 27, should I call her D? I think I've finally fixed my problem. Let's hope so because it looked really bad.

Today was Toys for Tots day at work, that's where we go around and pick up toys from our customers. I was very disappointed, there weren't very many toys on my route today. Last year I filled up my truck. I guess there are other important things to do then take care of our local children.
